Case Study - Sister Project

Sister Project is a not-for-profit organisation assisting Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Migrant and Refugee Women based in Ellenbrook, WA

Initially engaged by CEO Tracey Cave in Sept 2020 in and advisory capacity for strategic planning and to bring a commercial lens to a organisation that is still very much in it's infancy.

CEO Tracey Cave's background as social worker and mother of four children to a migrant husband coupled with her inner drive for helping those in need had created a much needed and valued resource in a community under provisioned for by conventional services and local authorities.

Sister Project, Tracey and Aspire & Grow's founder Andrew Thomas are very much culturally and values aligned. Andrew remains engaged in services albeit on a not-for-fee basis.

In the last year we have:

  • Formed our Board,

  • Received funding from grants,

  • Awarded a $60,000 grant from Hon. Mark McGowan MLA and Jessica Shaw MLA to fit out a social enterprise premises

  • Held local fundraising events for the community

  • Built relationships with local business leaders resulting in donations, fundraising events and signed a two year lease for premises
